Uma Jerripotula is an Indian-American fashion designer with a degree in Fashion Design Graduated from the Art Institute of New York City, New York; in the past couple of years, she has been very successful as an assistant to different designers in New York City. Uma began her career as an intern at Vivienne Tom New York. Since then she has worked with several fashion companies (Yumi Kim, Top Hat Image Wear, Jordan Taylor Resort Wear, Tommy Hilfiger and United Linen Textile’s ) Glamour Kill’s Clothing as an assistant designer & technical designer In New York.

She received an invitation to the Indian Fair 2014 fashion show in New Jersey, Soon she decided to create her own collection: Amogha Apparels by Uma Jerripotula reflects her ethnicity, passion, and unique versatility. And, although pressed for time decided that she’d better get ready. Despite the rush, and much to her surprise, the show was a great success, with numerous people interested in her first collection spring 2014, created from inspired different fabrics from USA and India, each design influenced by her own imagination and thoughts; In fact, she sold out of many pieces at her first booth.
